I like Neo Office, but when I'm typing in a Text Document I really dislike when it tries to guess and complete the word for me. It gets in the way - and is nearly always wrong anyway.
How do I turn this annoying feature off?
I've looked at the Autotext dialogue box, and 'Display remainder of name as suggestion when typing' is already unchecked, so presumably that's not it and I'm looking in the wrong place.
If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it. |

You should be able to turn off the word completion feature using the following steps:
1. Select the Tools :: AutoCorrect menu
2. In the dialog that appears, click on the Word Completion tab and uncheck the Enable Word Completion checkbox
3. Click the OK button to close the dialog
Does that work for you?

Ah ha! I didn't look far enough. Thank you Patrick: that works a treat. I am now happily unassisted and able to type exactly what I want.
If the developers are reading this, for what it's worth I think NeoOffice ought to come with this unchecked, and then let you check it if you need it. But maybe that's just me. |
