|
Everytime I try to start up Neo Office I get this message:
Either another instance of NeoOffice is accessing your personal settings or your personal settings are locked. Simultaneous access can lead to inconsistencies in your personal settings. Before continuing you should make sure user "jrwelscott" closes NeoOffice on host 'ppp-69-221-226-10.dsl.klmzmi.ameritech.net'
Can someone tell me how to fix this please?????? |

Press the Yes button and it will go away. What is happening is that NeoOffice has crashed or been force quit the last time you ran it so NeoOffice's "lock" file has not been cleaned up. With a clean shutdown of NeoOffice, the lock file gets deleted.
So, when you restart NeoOffice, it sees the lock file that was not deleted due to a previous crash or force quit and warns you. Pressing the Yes button will ignore the lock file and, if you can cleanly shutdown NeoOffice after that, you should not see this warning the next time you launch NeoOffice.
One question: when you select the Help :: About NeoOffice menu, what version of NeoOffice is displayed? I ask this because NeoOffice should not be crashing and if you are running an older version that NeoOffice 2.2.5 Patch 2, then I would recommend getting the latest version.
