So I'm running leopard and neo on my old ibook g4...amazing how well it runs but HD getting full and was thinking about using monolingual to clear out some old space. Question is, will doing this removal of unused languages break Neo? I know this happens with MSO 2008 as far as further updates are concerned. Anyone have any experience here or know of Neo's language dependencies?

Unless you've installed language packs, Neo doesn't actually have additional languages installed. The .lproj folders are all empty; they're just there to allow the OS to know Neo can support those languages and to make it easier for the language pack installers (and perhaps to let the locale matching code work; not sure about that).

Bottom line, you won't be saving any space at all by deleting them, so whether or not removing the folders actually breaks Neo, I'd just leave them alone.

Don't let Monolingual touch anything by Adobe either, if you want to live... (sorry, a bit melodramatic, but it really breaks them in style...) - Tinkertool System (shareware app) does the same job with more options, including 'avoid Adobe etc.'
