I think you are hitting the bug in Apple's Java code that I found. That bug shows two monitors instead of one when mirroring is enabled.
Ok--I was probably somewhat too optimistic in assuming that you found a workaround for the bug.

Can you download the attached file to your Desktop (move it the Desktop if it downloads to a different folder), open the /Applications/Utilities/Terminal application, copy the following command into the Terminal application window, press the Return key, and paste the output into this forum topic?
In extended monitor setup:
Code:
Screen 0:java.awt.Rectangle[x=0,y=0,width=1280,height=800]
Screen 1:java.awt.Rectangle[x=0,y=-1024,width=1280,height=1024]
and in mirrored monitor setup:
Code:
Screen 0:java.awt.Rectangle[x=0,y=0,width=1280,height=800]
Screen 1:java.awt.Rectangle[x=0,y=800,width=0,height=0]

Bingo! When in mirrored mode, Java is showing a second monitor that has a zero width and height. I will add the zero width and height check to the code and post a test patch later today.

I think that I have fixed the both problems in your last list. Can you install the following test patch and tell us if these two problems are fixed for you?:

Intel:

PowerPC:

All but one of the issues reported in my last list are fixed now. The issue left is the third one where the console window fails to open after switching from single display to extended desktop dual display with the ods file kept open (and the slide having been run in single display setup before). Not sure if it is a NeoOffice or OpenOffice.org bug.

FYI. I have backported the fix into NeoOffice 2.2.5. If you have NeoOffice 2.2.5 installed, can you install the following test patch and tell us if the bug is fixed for you?

Intel:
http://joe.neooffice.org/test/NeoOffice-2.2.5-Patch-7-Test-3-Intel.dmg

PowerPC:

As for the last remaining issue about the console window not appearing, this is an OpenOffice.org bug as I can reproduce it in my OpenOffice.org 3.0.1 that has Sun's Presentation Console extension installed.

Ok. Thanks for looking into the problem and fixing the identified bugs!
