Hi,
I just encountered this one, maybe an OpenOffice Bug.
I am using a writer template to write an essay for university.
I dragged an image file on the cover page, which is now there, but can neither be moved nor REmoved anymore...cut, delete...not available. After hitting Del several times NeoOffice crashed.
Is it normal that something you can paste somewhere can't be cut anymore?
I may send you the file if you're interested.

OK I think this behaviour of NeoOffice is strange. Something dragged into a document gets placed in a protected text frame and there are difficulties about editing it.

The following instructions are based on an English language user interface.

Click on the border of the frame within which the graphic lies to select the frame. (Picture 1)

Choose Insert>Frame and in the window that opens select the Options tab. (Picture 2) Uncheck the boxes in the Protect section of the Options pane, and the Frame and its contents can be edited in the usual way.

Hope this helps Smile

Thanks a lot, it works the way you explained it. Apparently thiis template has this one "protected" frame that protects itself and everything put into it from modification. But isn't the act of putting something into already it a violation of this protection? Seems indeed a bit strange (or iat least not very logical) Wink
