Dear Professionals:)
I am a successful user of CALC, but i need to know much much more in the field of Macros.
I would like to create a 10-column, 65536-rows data base which can process/understand/classify text. It also should retrieve data from special web pages and parse them into the data base. For the beginning, i think that i am going to create a "remote-controlled CALC core" accessible from the command line;) CALC Macros need to take URLs as parameters, re-create sheets and export/import into a configurable *.csv format.
Partially, i learned from the doc and from u in here, partially i guess that certain Macro functionality, which i dream of, is not implemented yet.
I would like to become a CALC Test User/Manual Section Writer for CALC Macros. Could u plz lead me to the right sub-community?
Many Thanks and Best 4u, Michael

I do not know much about macro programming myself, but there are several forums where there are many people experienced in StarBasic (the macro language for Neo, OOo, StarOffice, etc.). When I have questions, I usually keep this site bookmarked and use it as a starting point:
I find the macro language and UNO documentation to be very poor, so more often than not I use google to try and search for bits and pieces to string together.
Good luck, and I hope those are some good starting points for you!

Sounds like a database project not a Calc one to me.
Starbasic manual is the best description of ooBasic I have seen. The object model is a nightmare for any language. Good Luck
