For reasons to complex and messy to explain, I need a version of Neooffice that will run on MacOSx 10.2. Now stop laughing, you.

If such versions exist, please point me to where I can download them.

Thanks for your time.

Unfortunately, our very limited funding and developer resources limits the current scope of the NeoOffice project to keeping a native version of OpenOffice.org running on Mac OS X and fixing any critical crashing and hanging bugs that our users find. Because of these limits, we do not have non-current versions of NeoOffice.

Due to a serious bug in the Mac OS X Installer (on Mac OS X 10.3.9 or earlier) that can cause the deletion of system files in certain uncommon situations, NeoOffice/J 1.1 was pulled from the mirror sites several years ago. If you happen to find it at some other site, I strongly recommend that you do not install it because of this bug.

If you can settle for a version of OpenOffice.org that runs under 10.2, you'll find a download there:

Edit: Most (if not all) links seem to be down, unfortunately.

OMG, Fran, it's you! We worked together for a couple of weeks at that horrible company in Boston years ago!

Sorry, I'm a different Fran. I've never worked in Boston. Or maybe I'm not sorry if the company was horrible Smile

This is disturbing. The other Fran went by Narf too. Oh well. Back to trying to cope with maintaining obsolete software on obsolete OSen.

You could always buy a supported OS.

No, I can't. If I could, I would have. I have legacy software that only runs on OS9, and current supported versions of the OS do not run OS9 in emulation mode.

Please only make suggestions if you are going to be helpful.

MacRat was suggesting 10.3 - does that not support running OS9?

You shouldn't dismiss helpful advice.

OS 9 emulation runs fine in 10.3 and 10.4.

Note that we recommend that you run at least Mac OS X 10.3.9 as early updates of Mac OS X 10.3.x were quite buggy.
