PostPosted: Fri Jul 17, 2009 6:39 pm    Post subject: NeoOffice FAQ and donation form translation request

After updating the main web site's support page, I have updated the NeoOffice FAQ page to be consistent with the current support page.

In addition, I made some small improvements to the donation forms that are scattered our many pages on the main site:

- Pressing the Donate button on a non-English page will go to PayPal's matching localized payment page if PayPal has one for that language. Surprisingly, PayPal does not always detect your web browser's preferred language and in those cases PayPal defaulted to English. So, now our main site sends the language of the current page in the payment form so that PayPal will fallback to the same language as the language of our main site.

- All donation forms allow you to select one of the preset amounts or select an "Other amount" option. Previously, the download page only had preset amounts and the donation page required only supported the "Other amount" option.

If anyone has time, can you translate the following text? Any translations that you can provide are definitely appreciated.

Donation form - You can see the current donation form here. Below is the English text that is untranslated:

Quote:
US$ - United States Dollars
€ - Euros
£ - United Kingdom Pounds Sterling
CA$ - Canadian Dollars
AU$ - Australian Dollars
Other amount

FAQ - You can see the current FAQ page here. Below is the English text that is untranslated:

Quote:
I am having problems. How can I get help?

If you have any problems, a list of suggested steps for finding an answer for a problem as fast as possible is available on the NeoOffice Support page.

I found a bug in NeoOffice. Will it ever be fixed?

Since stability is one of our most important goals, we will attempt to fix any critical crashing and hanging bugs that our users find. If you find a crashing or hanging bug, obtain a crash log or sample using the steps in this NeoWiki article, post a description of the bug in the NeoOffice Support forum, and attach the crash log or sample to your post using the instructions in this forum post.

Unfortunately, our very limited donations only provides enough funding for one fulltime developer which limits the current scope of the NeoOffice project to keeping a stable version of OpenOffice.org running on Mac OS X. Because of these limits, fixing OpenOffice.org feature bugs is outside that scope.

Also, since providing user support consumes much of our donations, there are some restrictions on when you can use the NeoOffice trademark. So, if you are selling NeoOffice or distributing your own custom NeoOffice builds, you must comply with the NeoOffice CD Distribution and Trademark Usage policy.

I have added a space on all pages that had a question mark and had no preceding space. Let me know if I missed any.
