The field widths for both the left side number column and the worksheet tabs in NeoOffice Cal is incredibly small (each only a few pixels wide, making the contents unreadable (see attached jpeg, taken from the left lower corner of a spreadsheet - you can see overlapping or partial text). I can't find a preference that would expand these. Any ideas? |

If Samwise's steps do not fix the problem, can you try disabling Spotlight by doing the following steps?:
1. Launch the Mac OS X System Preferences application, click on the Spotlight icon, and then selecting the Privacy panel.
2. Drag all the disk drive icons on your Desktop into the Privacy panel.
3. Restart NeoOffice
Does that help? If so, you have encountered this Mac OS X issue. We do not know what causes this issue, but we do know that some other application's Spotlight plugin messes up Mac OS X's font functions and makes those functions fail to return the width of font glyphs to NeoOffice.

Thank you for the suggestions! I disabled the duplicate fonts and deleted the corrupted fonts (Font book found a few with warning and I deleted those for the sake of caution), but no help. Disabling Spotlight did the trick though! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I didn't run across that post in my search (probably was doing too narrow a search). I'm surprised that disabling Spotlight would help, but I'm glad that my problem is fixed. |

Glad to hear the disabling Spotlight fixed the issue. We still do not know what is wrong with Spotlight or which Spotlight plugin causes this so if you find that you need Spotlight, I recommend that you remove the disks that you added to the Privacy tab and wait for this problem to reoccur. At that point, then repeat the steps in my previous post and reenable Spotlight for those disks after an hour or so has passed.
