equations in NeoOffice Early-Access

Hallo, if i try to build an equation in a text in Neo-Office Early Access it doesn't works correct.
What is the problem

I am not sure what the problem is. There have been no changes to the underlying OpenOffice.org code in NeoOffice 3.0.1 Early Access.

Can you provide us with a set of steps to replicate the problem? You can attach a sample document using the instructions in this post to help illustrate the problem.

If I open an existing .odt document with formulas in it, everything looks fine, but if I double-click on one of the formulas, the result is a broken rendering.

See the attached screenshot. (1st formula edited with NeoOffice 3.0.1 Early Access, second formula not yet edited).

It is also impossible to enter a new formula in Math. The result is the same.

This bug did not exist in NeoOffice 3.0.

I have a PPC G3 with OS 10.4.11, but the problem also exists on Intel with OS 10.6 (Stefan Hees).

Can you attach the original document and not a screen snapshot? It is nearly impossible for me to troubleshoot this behavior without the original document.

Here's an example document.
The first formula is edited and saved with Neo 3.0.1 EarlyAccess, the others are not touched.

Thank you for sample file. I can reproduce this bug and I also found the cause: it is caused by my fix for bug 3538 that occurred on Snow Leopard.

Clearly I need to rework my fix for that Snow Leopard bug. As soon as I have a fix, I will post a test patch for you to try.

I think that I have fixed this bug. Can you install the following test patch and tell us if it is fixed for you?:

Important: NeoOffice files display the spacing between symbols from the last time you saved the file so you will need to double click on any formulas that were affected by this bug to reset the spacing between symbols.

I installed the test patch on my G3 and everything is back to normal again.

Stefan Hees installed it on 10.6 and reports, that he can use Neo Math for the first time without problems on Snow Leopard. He is very impressed.
