|
I wonder if anyone else can reproduce this. I am using a unibody MacBook with OS X 10.6.2 and NeoOffice 3.0.1 patch 1.
1. Open a text document
2. Minimise it to dock
3. Click on the NeoOffice menu bar.
My result is that the menu bar does not react.
I can use a keyboard shortcut to open a new window. If I do that, or bring back the minimised window, the menu start responding again.
Best wishes,

I can reproduce this on Mac OS X 10.4.11 as well. I will take a look at our code and see if I can figure out if our code is the cause of this.

I found the cause of the problem and it is apparently an old bug. It is due to a fix for a different bug that I fixed way back in NeoOffice 2.2.4. The bug that it fixed was to prevent the same problem that you are experiencing when there are no windows open.
Fixing this should not be difficult and I will post a test patch when I have a fix.

FYI: I have opened bug 3571 to track this issue.

Sorry, but I cannot reproduce what you are seeing. I could easily reproduce the bug before I installed the test patch but after installing the test patch, opening a single empty document, and minimizing it, clicking on the menubar works as expected.
Are you using a different set of steps than I am?

OK. I think I found what steps I am doing differently and I can reproduce the same bug if I open a document window, close it, and then minimize any remaining windows.
I will post another test patch in the next few hours that fixes this particular case that I found.

This seems to fix it . I will let you know if I find this issue anywhere else, but I just stumbled on it by accident..
