I've owned an used every version of Excel since version 1.0 on the Mac. The number crunching part of my doctoral dissertation in 1986 was done with Excel 1.X.

If I added up all the system or application crashes on my Macs since 1986, 99% of would be from Excel. I even thought Microsoft would fix the long-term stability issues when it finally left the the last Mac Carbon version of Excel...but no.

But...I can select a different range of cells and execute a repeat/redo and it will do the same sort on another range of cells.

'nuff said. I use Neo/Open Office for everything else.
