Bonjour

J'ai un imac alu, système 10.6.3.

Depuis quelques semaines, j'ai le problème suivant. Lorsque je souhaite ouvrir un ficher avec la commande Fichier Ouvrir un fichier, Neooffice se bloque et "pédale dans la semoule", je dois Forcer à quitter, relancer et charger le fichier par un double clic.

Merci de bien vouloir m'aider à résoudre ce problème.

I am sorry not to be able to reply in French.

Please can you tell us which version of NeoOffice you are using and which Patch No.

You can get this information from the menu NeoOffice::À propos de NeoOffice.

The latest version is NeoOffice 3.0.2 Patch 3.

If you are not already running the latest version, please update and see if the problem persists.

Please report back here with your results.

Merci pour votre réponse. J'utilise bien la version NeoOffice 3.0.2 Patch 3.

Je précise que j'ai fait une réinstallation après un nouveau téléchargement sans succès.

Do you mean the new download failed to install? Or do you mean the fresh installation failed to solve the problem?

I think you mean that a fresh install of NeoOffice still had the same problem.

In that case, I do not think I am able to solve your problem. But don't worry, I expect someone else can.

I think they will need to see a 'Sample' of what is happening when NeoOffice hangs. Please can you follow these instructions to obtain a Sample and then post it as an attachment on this thread.

A sample of the NeoOffice application will definitely help us determine where in our code NeoOffice is hanging. But before you collect a sample, can you install the following test patch and tell us if the hanging stops?:

Intel:

PowerPC:

If the hanging still occurs, then collect a sample like James3359 suggested and attach it. You can attach the sample file using the steps in this forum topic.

You need to quit NeoOffice before you can install a patch. NeoOffice's patch installer cannot install anything when you already have NeoOffice running so quit NeoOffice and rerun the patch installer.

Il me semble que la discussion aille bien en deux langues au moment, mais si vous avez besoin de traduction des postes en anglais, dites-le ici, et je peux traduire. Sinon moi, un de nos bénévoles francophones peuvent le faire aussi.

One thing that I use to translate French posts is Google's translator. It is not perfect, but it seems to do a very good job translating most European languages.

I figured you (and the others) were using something like that. I've been known to use Babelfish for rough translation, which I then polish. I just thought I'd offer in case it was needed. (And posting here means I get notified each time a new post is made, which means I can know quickly if translation help is needed.)

Effectivement, (et je le savais) j'ai refais l'installation après avoir quitté NoOffice et cette fois ci tout s'est bien passé.

Je viens de faire quelques essais et il semble que mon problème soit résolu.

Quand à la traduction, Google m'a été d'un grand secours.

I am happy to hear the test patch fixed the problem for you. Patrick has now created NeoOffice 3.0.2 Patch 4 which includes the fix that was in the test patch.

Can you download and install NeoOffice 3.0.2 Patch 4 and confirm the problem is still fixed for you?

The patch can be downloaded from the NeoOffice patch download page.

J'ai bien installé le patch 4, mais après 2 ou 3 utilisations de Fichier Ouvrir. NoOffice se fige à nouveau. Même avant cette installation et contrairement à ce que 'ai signalé dans mon dernier post NeoOffice (patch 3) se fige aussi. J'était trop optimiste !

OK. The next time that NeoOffice freezes, can you obtain a sample file of the NeoOffice application using the steps in this NeoWiki article and attach the sample file to this forum topic? The sample file will tell us where in the NeoOffice code the freeze is occurring.
