Unfortunately that bug is still there.

And wouldn't you know, today I can't get my scanner to work with any program. Not your problem, of course, but enormously frustrating for me. Mad

I think I might have good news. While working on removing obsolete Mac OS X functions in preparation for Apple's upcoming Mac OS X 10.7 Lion release, I found a possible cause for this bug and added a fix.

Can you install the following test patch and tell us if the crashing bug is fixed for you?:

Intel:

Thanks for trying the test patch. Sadly, your crash log shows that the crash is occurring in the same place - in Apple's image capture code - as previous crash logs did so we fix has no effect.

I don't have any other tricks to try at this time, but if I come up with any in the future, I will post another test patch.
