Friends --

I've followed the directions under the several headings "page numbers" in your help table of contents, but I can't make simple page numbering work.

I want to set a cursor at the bottom of the second page, and have the program number it 2. Then the next numbers 3, 4 should automatically appear at the bottoms of the following pages, etc. How do I do this?
Thank you
Don

PS why does your Help table of contents have three headings "page number," all with different content?

If you are OK having a page number on every page, following the step in this NeoWiki article. If you want to suppress the page number on the first page, follow the steps in the "How to Set a Page other than the First page as Page Number 1" section of that same NeoWiki article.

Since NeoOffice is based on OpenOffice.org, I cannot answer that question. Only Oracle's OpenOffice.org documentation writers who created those help entries (whomever they are) would be able to answer that question.

Thanks very much for steering me to that wiki. The advice there looks simpler than what I tried before. I'll work on it. Don
