Latvian characters like ? and ? and look different than the rest of the font. In addition they do not change when a paragraph is changed to Italic

Are you using Neo/J 1.1 Alpha 2? If yes, have you downloaded and installed "Patch-5" from the following URL?:

Yes, it seems that the patch I installed was the one you are pointing to. I tried to experiment a bit with Latvian texts and there from time to time appear other bugs. but the characters seem to be constangly about 1pt bigger than the rest of the text. Even if I change size of letters

I noticed that the characters are substituted by characters from another font. I.e., if I am writing using Times New Roman, most of the special characters are substituted by those from Arial. If I write in arial, all is ok. the same is true for ,e.g., Czeck
