With everyone, I meant Office and NeoOffice, not LibreOffice.

I also checked for the Mac Address Book:
- Word 2011 lets you use it
- Excel only does text formats, FileMaker and ODBC

I didn't see anything that suggests Thunderbird in Office 2011, but I wonder why NeoOffice has it and LibreOffice doesn't..

The OpenOffice.org Thunderbird address book code was always disabled on Mac OS X because their code didn't work correctly. LibreOffice apparently still has that code disabled on Mac OS X but we fixed that OpenOffice.org a few years ago so it is enabled in Mac OS X.

Another thing to be aware of is where something is "Yes" for NeoOffice and "No" for LibreOffice: if NeoOffice has a footnote that says our "Yes" comes from "ooo-build", then most likely LibreOffice should also have a "Yes" since LibreOffice is a direct descendent of Novell's Go-oo project.

This is one of the things I still have on my list to fix from the replacement of OOo by LO in the table. That will turn a few more rows green for LibreOffice.

I've now made my way through the entire page, and everything is now correct to the best of my knowledge/ability to test.*

If others could take a look over the page and, especially where there are question marks or items that require certain hardware/software/accounts (e.g., Apple Remote, Image Capture, AFP/SMB/WebDAV, dictation software), check for any mistakes or missing items, I'd appreciate it.

After people have given the page a once-over, I'll remove the "fixme" template, and we'll have our first full update of this page since 3.1.1 Smile

* Though I was tempted to add a new row for "Throws a 'JRE required' alert when performing nearly any action" line and checking it for LO; I can't believe opening files, creating a blank document, and typing really necessitate throwing the "JRE required" modal alert--and hiding said alert behind other windows!

And the UI Evil or Very Mad I wanted to poke my eyes out; it seems like it's gotten worse over the years instead of better! The icons are poor, hard to see, and the Aqua UI looks sooo old. And the faux highlighting, and the poor text quality, and, and, and…

It really serves to illustrate the tremendous amount of work that Patrick and Ed and our icon designers have done over the past decade to make NeoOffice a real Mac app based upon the OOo core office code, not just a cut-rate port of OOo's cross-platform Windows code. (And that's not to mention all of the Mac-specific features in NeoOffice that you won't see in LO.) Very Happy

I'll make another update: MS Office now has basic retina support, much like NeoOffice.

Update: Never mind, you already put it there Smile.

Yup, that was what reminded me I hadn't finished going through that page, and I had some free time last night, so I sat down with my search engine (to try and find MS's documentation on their l10n/i18n features Razz ) and copy of LO to check the rest of the items.
