I started a document in .ods and then saved it as an xlsx. Then afterwards, whenever I hit the save button, NeoOffice asks for a filename, treating 'save' like I chose ' save as'.
I thought it used to just save in the format that it already had, unless you choose 'save as'... Or maybe I remember wrong.
My default save format is 'ODT spreadsheet'.
Best wishes,

This is normal behavior. I added this behavior in NeoOffice several years ago and it is not new.
I added this behavior to NeoOffice's underlying OpenOffice.org code that handles exporting to .docx, .xlsx, and .pptx has many known cases of losing formatting and/or content so NeoOffice automatically executes a "save as" operation instead of a silent save whenever you save a .docx, .xlsx, or .pptx document.
OK, nothing to worry about then _________________ "What do you think of Western Civilization?"
