Please, need help! HAVE MERCY!
Problem: Admin can use OO 1.1.3 german on X11 without problems. Parts of the keys (umlaute and certain brackets) do not work. I do not get a different character, but none at all. Osx makes the "wrong input" noise.
Admin does not have any troubles at all and can use whole keyboard.
(installed a few fonts, and all language and region settings are to German (Swiss)).
Any ideas?
Please help, we do need OpenOffice and everything else works now fine.

Does it work OK for all admin users, or only the user account under which it was installed? If it's all admins then this may be a permissions problem where the admins have write access to some directory in the OOo installation that other groups do not(IIRC all admins are members of the same group, no?)

It gets even worse
Now the situation is this: We have several (5) systems that work (all openoffice 1.1.3 for Max OS X) on Systems from 10.3 to 10.3.6. On all of these systems with different hardware, the admin can use all the keyboard, and the user as well. Other systems with same hardware don't. I still have to check on the user account settings.
First we thought the problems came from setting up the systems from an image directly from the server. This might be part of the problem.
It seems pretty weird at this time.
I will post the solution if I ever find it...

FOUND IT!!!!!!
FOR GERMAN(SWISS) IT IS VITAL TO CONFIGURE LANGUAGES GERMAN(GERMAN) AND GERMAN(SWISS) IN BOTH ACCOUNTS, i.e. the admin and the user acccount. Else parts of the keyboard are not accessible while everything else works.
