Posted: Sun Sep 15, 2019 10:34 am Post subject: macOS Mojave and Catalina users: Fix for disabled extensions
Some users reported that, when running on macOS Mojave or Catalina, the most recent version of NeoOffice 2017 disables some extensions that worked in earlier versions of NeoOffice 2017 and an error is displayed when you try to enable or reinstall those extensions in the Extension Manager dialog.
We found that this bug first occurred in NeoOffice 2017.18 when we enabled Apple's new hardened runtime feature (Apple requires all non-Mac App Store appplications to use this hardened runtime feature to run on macOS Catalina). We have fixed this bug by changing NeoOffice's hardened runtime settings to allow loading of unsigned Python scripts and native shared libraries.
You do not need to wait until the next NeoOffice release to get the fix. You can get the fix now by downloading and installing the following test patch:
