|
I just installed Openoffice v1.1.2 onto my Mac running Panther 10.3.6 and X11.app.
I see the splash screen, but then encounter an error:
"An unrecoverable error has occurred. All modified files have been saved and can probably be recovered at program restart."
I think this is the closest I've ever got to getting Openoffice working on my machine! Anyone got any ideas?! |

My smart-ass answer is to try NeoOffice/J... Although I didn't have any problems with the X11 version....

I would check the crashlog and read the FAQ. Chances are you're hitting up against the "OpenTTFont" crash which means one of the fonts in /Applications/OpenOffice.org1.1.2/share/fonts/truetype is corrupted. The workaround is in the FAQ, but usually removing all foreign language and zero length fonts from that folder does the trick.
