SANTA CLARA, CA—31 March 2009— NeoOffice.org is pleased to announce the release of NeoOffice 3.0. NeoOffice 3.0 is available for all users from the NeoOffice download page.
NeoOffice is a full-featured set of office applications (including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, drawing, and database programs) for Mac OS X. Based on the OpenOffice.org office suite, NeoOffice has integrated dozens of native Mac features and can import, edit, and exchange files with other popular office programs such as Microsoft Office.
NeoOffice is one of the most stable office suites for Mac OS X. We have created an office suite that is adapted to the unique needs of Mac users by taking the features in Sun Microsystems' OpenOffice.org office suite and adding improvements such as:
NeoOffice 3.0 includes nearly all of the features in OpenOffice.org 3.0.1 and includes many of the most commonly used features in Microsoft Office. The only OpenOffice.org feature that is missing from NeoOffice 3.0 is Mac OS X Universal Access support. Unfortunately, we have not been able integrate OpenOffice.org's Universal Access code into NeoOffice so if you need Universal Access support, we recommend that you use OpenOffice.org, Microsoft Office, or Apple iWork.
Below is a list of some of the Mac OS X features requested by our users that are in NeoOffice 3.0 but are not in OpenOffice.org 3.0.1:

NeoOffice 3.0 Early Access Released

SANTA CLARA, CA—15 January 2009— NeoOffice.org is pleased to announce the release of NeoOffice 3.0 Early Access. From now until 31 March 2009, members and subscribers of the current NeoOffice Early Access Program can download the latest release from the NeoOffice Early Access Program download page. Starting on 31 March 2009, all users will be able to download NeoOffice 3.0 for free.
The NeoOffice project is funded entirely by donations from our users. Since over half of our donations come from a small percentage of our users, the NeoOffice Early Access Program is a way for us to thank our most generous users by allowing them to download a NeoOffice release before the official release date.
Important: NeoOffice 3.0 Early Access is not a production release and will likely have many undiscovered bugs. If you are not comfortable using unstable software, we recommend that you download NeoOffice 2.2.5 which is our most stable version.
NeoOffice 3.0 Early Access includes nearly all of the features in OpenOffice.org 3.0.1 and includes many of the most commonly used features in Microsoft Office. The only OpenOffice.org feature that is missing from NeoOffice 3.0 Early Access is Mac OS X Universal Access support. NeoOffice now supports high resolution printing

11 August 2007 - Since we released NeoOffice 2.2.1 Early Access through the NeoOffice Early Access Program three weeks ago, we have not only been fixing bugs reported by our Early Access members, we have also implemented a significant feature: high resolution printing.
Due to some restrictions in NeoOffice's underlying OpenOffice.org code, printing resolution has always been limited to 300 DPI in NeoOffice. While many older printers only support 300 DPI, this restriction caused many newer printers to print high resolution images at a reduced resolution.
Fortunately, after much effort, we have been able to remove these restrictions and we are pleased to announce that NeoOffice 2.2.1 Early Access can now print high resolution images at the resolution supported by your printer.
You can get the new high resolution printing support by installing the latest NeoOffice 2.2.1 Early Access patch. The latest patch can be downloaded by Early Access Program members and subscribers from the NeoOffice Early Access patch download page.

NeoOffice Adds Mac OS X Leopard Beta Support

25 June 2007 - Two weeks ago, Apple released Mac OS X Leopard Beta and we have not wasted any time making the necessary changes to NeoOffice so that it works on this exciting new Mac OS X release.
Not only does NeoOffice work on Leopard Beta, but we have also added support for Leopard's new Quick Look feature. With the latest NeoOffice patch, Leopard Beta users can quickly preview in the Finder the first page of any files saved with NeoOffice 2.1 Patch 6 or later.
If you already have NeoOffice 2.1, you can get the new Leopard features by installing the latest NeoOffice 2.1 patch. The latest patch can be downloaded from the NeoOffice patch download page.
