We have released NeoOffice 2015.2 in the Mac App Store. This version of NeoOffice fixes the following bugs:
When running in full screen mode on OS X El Capitan, NeoOffice would display some dialogs and dropdown lists behind the current document

NeoOffice would generate an empty mail merge if you select the "From:" field in the Mail Merge dialog
NeoOffice would hang for a minute or longer when updating links in spreadsheets

To upgrade, launch the App Store application, select the Store > Sign In menu, login using your Apple iTunes account, click on the "Purchases" icon, and press the "Install" or "Upgrade" button to the right of NeoOffice.

Posted: Mon Dec 07, 2015 4:43 pm Post subject: Crash when you select the Format > Cells menu item?
In OS X El Capitan, Apple created a font handling bug that can cause applications to crash. This OS X El Capitan bug can cause NeoOffice to crash when NeoOffice tries to draw text using the "Arial Unicode MS" font.
To test if your machine is affected by this Apple bug, select the Format > Cells menu item in a spreadsheet document. If NeoOffice crashes, then we recommend that you disable the "Arial Unicode MS" font using the following steps. Disabling this font should stop the crashing for most users:
In the Finder, go to the /Applications folder and launch the Font Book application
In the Font Book application window, go to the middle column and select the "Arial Unicode MS" font
Select the Edit > Disable "Arial Unicode MS" Family menu item
If the above steps do not stop the crashing, please contact us at the e-mail in this NeoWiki article.

We have released NeoOffice 2015.3 Classic Edition. This version of NeoOffice fixes the following bugs:
When exporting a document to PDF, NeoOffice would not include any characters that use the Apple Color Emoji font
In compressed and stretched horizontal text, NeoOffice would compress or stretch the text less than the text's "Scale width" setting
In compressed and stretched vertical text, NeoOffice would compress or stretch Chinese, Japanese, and Korean characters horizontally instead of vertically
In fontwork objects that have multiple lines of text, NeoOffice would draw all but the first line of text too far to the right
NeoOffice would sometimes hang when opening .odb files
When using an 800 x 600 or smaller monitor, NeoOffice would cut off the buttons at the bottom of tall dialogs
Users who have paid US$ 10 (or € 10 or £ 7) within the last year can download NeoOffice 2015.3 Classic Edition from the NeoOffice download page. If you are currently using NeoOffice 3.4.1 or earlier and you expect to upgrade to Apple's OS X El Capitan in the near future, we recommend that you install NeoOffice 2015.3 Classic Edition.
If you are currently using the Mac App Store version of NeoOffice, you do not need to purchase NeoOffice 2015.3 Classic Edition as you will receive the same fixes through a free update in the Mac App Store. We estimate that Apple's Mac App Store review team will approve the update within the next two weeks.

In the last few weeks, we have seen a significant increase in the number of users that are experiencing failed downloads. We use Amazon.com's very fast web servers for NeoOffice Classic Edition downloads so it took us a while to figure out the cause of these download failures. What we found was that, in most cases, the user's internet service provider was disconnecting their connection to our web servers before the download finished.
Fortunately, we have found some steps that you can do that should allow you to continue downloading NeoOffice Classic Edition if your internet service provider disconnects your connection. The steps in the following link use Safari's "Resume downloading" feature to resume the download without starting a new download:

We recently discovered that PayPal's payment page was forcing everyone to create a PayPal account. Fortunately, we found a way to make PayPal's payment page allow people to pay by credit credit without a PayPal account.
We also discovered that PayPal's payment page was not allowing people to pay using Giropay so we have made some changes to our PayPal account settings that will hopefully enable Giropay on PayPal's payment page.
If PayPal's payment page still requires you to setup a PayPal account when you pay by credit card or you are unable to pay using Giropay, please send us an e-mail using these steps.
