Two questions...

1. When you go into the NeoOffice configuration to configure external programs, there is no option for the Thunderbird mail client. Who would I send a request to in order to put that on the wish list?

2. Is there any way to make NeoOffice start up with a specified file type open rather than having the thing always start up with a text (Word) document? Maybe some type of a Quickstarter application would be worth implementing, similar to the OpenOffice.org Quickstarter in Windows and Linux.

Quickest way is to save a template document, put an icon on that and move it into the dock..

File your request in Bugzilla; you'll notice there is already one there to add Eudora (or, if you want to be a good citizen of the larger OOo community as well, file the bug in the OOo IssueZilla.

(As an aside, my understanding of the way the macsosx_mailer script was supposed to work is that it was supposed to call your default mail client, but it doesn't. It's easy enough to hack to get it to call your client, assuming the client supports all the right stuff. I seem to recall Kevin having issues with some clients so perhaps he ended up changing the script to only work with Mail in the final release.)
