For the system I set a slower double click,
NeoOffice though doesnt seem to care and there is no otion AFAIK to slow it down.
How do I do it? Is it a bug - am I really just too slow (which is likely)
Is there a way to make the double click slower? |

Neo/J calculates the double-click speed from the double-click speed that you set in the System Preferences application. However, if you change this speed while Neo/J is running, Neo/J will not adjust until you restart Neo/J.

If that is true, there is a bug somewhere. In every app (also eclipse as a java app) double clicking works fine for me; in neoO it works 1/10 times and I have to concentrate on it as it is WAY faster OR buggy...
yes... I made about 20 clicks ~ same speed (which works in any other app) and it does not work in neoO (trying to select text by double clicking btw) |

Are you moving the mouse at all between clicks? I ask because the OpenOffice.org that Neo/J is based on will treat clicks that are more the 2 pixels apart as single clicks even if the second click is earlier than the double-click time. In essence, there is a very small area that the double-click is constrained to.
Also, I found that when I set the mouse double-click time to the slowest setting, Mac OS X returns a double-click time of 1.2 seconds which matches up to what I am seeing in Neo/J.
