Heyo there. New NeoOffice/J user, first time poster. The program was recommended to me to replicate some work-related Microsoft Word forms on my Mac so I could get work done at home.

There's a small problem with this, however.

As I've mentioned, this is a form I'm working with. The form has text fields and check boxen. And while they work perfectly fine in-window, when I print the document a seemingly random selection of check boxen print with the phrase "check box Foo" (where Foo is some number) next to it, making the text that happens to /actually/ be by the check box unreadable.

Does anyone know of a fix for this which doesn't involve turning off controls in the print settings? That kind of defeats the purpose.

And speaking of which, semi-randomly: There's a form function in Microsoft Word called 'protect,' I believe, which keeps the document from being edited with the exception of typing in the text fields or checking check boxen. Is there such a feature in NeoOffice/J and, if so, where can I find it?

The first question I cannot answer, unless you can circumvent this by printing to PDF and see what that looks like.

To protect the document go to Edit > Changes > Protect, but that protects the entire document not just certain fields.
