This is really bugging me; something as easy as double spacing!!!!!!! It should be on one of the toolbars, but nooooooooooooo. I went to NeoOffice help and all it gave me was how to do double spacing in Drawing, but what about word processing?! If someone could please help me, I find it rather stupid that it takes so much effort to figure out how to do something as easy as double spacing (it's really easy in AppleWoks, but I hate that program!); I guess untill then, I'll just have to hit 'return' twice. Grrrrrrrrr (that's my angry noise, computer-style).

Thanks,
Jay

There are several ways to do this:

This option doesn't appear in the object toolbar by default. Right click or control click on the object tool bar (the one with the font names) and select Visible Buttons. There you can chose to have the line spacing options appear on the toolbar.

Another option is to right click or control click at the beginning of the paragraph and select "Line Spacing". You may notice that Command 1=single line spacing, Command 5 equals 1.5 line spacing and Command 2=double line spacing.

Yet another option is to select Format, Paragraph, Indents and Spacing, then Line Spacing.

As this is a support/use question, the appropriate forum for this topic is "NeoOffice Support", not "Random Whatnot" Smile

FWIW, control/right-clicking to add visible buttons is possible for all toolbars in NeoOffice, even the vertical one (aka the Main Toolbar).

If you have not come across them before, perhaps a browse through some of the tutorial material available for OOo Writer may be useful to Jay and others.

Of course, the NeoOffice Mac user has to make a mental note to sometimes have to mentally translate appropriately between ctrl- and cmnd- key combinations while reading but, overall, the content is straightforward and accessible.

OOo Tutorials for Writer
