I looked all around and cannot figure out how to get the page numbers to show up and also print out in the text file of neooffice J mac OSX 10.2.6. anyone have a clue how to do it - it should be basic - maybe it was so basic I blew right by it.

thank you.

That's my way to do it:

1. [Menu] Insert > Footer > Standard
2. Align Footer to the right
3. [Menu] Insert > Fields > Page Number

You may additionally use the dynamic field "Page Count" to get a footer like "Page 1 of 3" etc.

Perhaps you're blocking cookies from trinity.neooffice.org?

Also, it's best to sign-in via the main trinity interface, not the login box on the forums (if that makes sense); I've noticed that sometimes signing in via the forums causes odd problems.

Err, yes. My interface is in German, and I not always manage to translate (or look up the English help) perfectly. Wink

You probably may have "Insert Page Numbers" from MS Office in mind. I like in this case the 3 steps better, because I have more overall control over my document - I can put in the fields wherever I want, and the page number has its proper place within the editable areas, whereas in Word the page number seems to have a separate life of its own (but you can do it in Word like in Open/NeoOffice with a dynamic number field)
