It happens because the New Document icon has a drop down menu next to it. When you use the menu to create a new document of a type other than the type you are currently editing it changes the icon to your choice as its assuming that that's what you'll want to do again. (cf Font Colour and Background Colour in writer & calc and Zoom in Presentation)

(Though I agree it looks a little odd in the screenshot.)

Andy
Ahhhh, I get it now.
Don't like it Confused but I get it. It just seemed funny because the old NeoOffice 2.x sample had "matching" icons.
Bet that took Patrick a lot of time opening and closing modules to get the correct alignment. Sad

djpimley, Another GREAT set of Shapes.
Many THANKS for all your hard efforts. (noticed the punched-tape.png Confused Do those still exist? Rolling Eyes) Thaks for the complete set of Flow Chart shapes.

Hmmmm,

I think I see what you mean.
But then I did a Google search on Flowchart Shapes and found this USDA.gov reference ("Taken from MS Visio").

THEY have Punch Cards!

Of course, It does not matter as these are mapping what OOo has, not what we ... want! Wink
Sorry Smokey (keeper of Wiki ... Wisdom Smile )

Philip ( Still has "fond" memories of punch cards Rolling Eyes )

Cool work on the new icons Smile I love the gradient fills...very nifty!

I remember punchcards but barely...I read about them in some of the first books I was learning programming from and my mother had some left over from her old Fortran programming days a long time ago. Ironically, the punchcards were what made her fear computers for 20 years Wink Little interesting punch card specs...

Congratulations on the icons. Amazing.

NeoOffice Aqua Elements 2.1.070202

This combines the zip file of shapes images I posted previously for Armando, my most recent additions to the shapes images, and the previous contents of the Aqua elements collection. I'll update it intermittently as I add new shapes.

FYI. I'll need to integrate your icons early next week (around February 12 or 13). Any problem finalizing the icons by then?

Fontworks shapes will be completed by then, but probably only a few if any of the weirder shapes - starshapes, symbolshapes.

While we're on the subject...somehow another icon is getting saved as generic.icns.

I.e., generic.icns in the NeoOffice bundle is what I'll term "generic template" (grey-with-plain-blueprint with ship) rather than the generic.icns (grey page with ship) that's in Daniel's package. Confused

Smokey

Fontworks shapes:

The wave shape is missing because it's late night now and I can't be bothered doing all the anti-aliasing on that thing. Wink
All being well, I'll finish the fontworks shapes tomorrow and update the package.

The latest update to the package is available:

NeoOffice Aqua Elements 2.1.070211

Note to Armando/Patrick: please always overwrite all previous versions of my shapes icons with the contents of the most recent set - I sometimes do little tweaks to older icons when I see imperfections, and I'd like these to make it into the final release.

Fontwork shapes are complete, so that means this set has all standard shapes, flowchart shapes and fontwork shapes. I think this is all I'll be able to do before the 11/12 deadline so unless that deadline shifts you should consider this my finalised contribution. Apologies that I couldn't get all the shapes done but working life got in the way again. Rolling Eyes
