hi guys,

Selecting table button in standard toolbar works fine.
pull down menu selection on the table button is also working but i cannot undo the selection. i'm sort of trapped in the pull down. the only thing i can do is selecting XXxYY cells and then undoing the table creation.

in OOo (linux) this works fine .

This is filed as bug 1689

move the mouse off the drop down (left or above) and press escape.

although, I feel its not a terrifficaly intuitive method, especially moving from mouse to keyboard.

Baggypants,

indeed, it's not intuitive.

On all other drop down menu's if you click the drop down menu with the mouse pointer again, the menu option disappears. it is asif the button is disabled.
