Thanks for the details - I too was frustrated with the launching of Firefox, but for quite practical reasons - I have NeoOffice installed on my iBook and that is very often not connected to the internet.
So to have Firefox launched without my permission and have it try to connect to a page when I am not connected to the internet... It has been just annoying.
Could you write it so that it first checks to see whether or not there is a connection to the internet before attempting to open the patch page?
And I like Samwise's suggestion "I wonder whether we could adapt the code to check for NeoOffice updates & patches ?" ...like a bit more in the background to see if there is a new patch, before opening the patch page.
Is there Any way to disable the NeoOffice Installation Complete page that comes up when a user first-runs it? I found precreating a NeoOffice-2.1 folder in each user's preference folder works, but was wondering if there was a .noshow file that I could create in the application to do the same thing?
