Can someone help me with this?
I want to save a writer document with a macro "inside", so that I can give my macro to someone else with that document.
I know a method that pass thru macro organizer and copy the code from user/standard/module1 to mydocument/standard/module1 but it is not very elegant, and 'm sure there is an elegant method to do this Wink

I think that the macro remains in the document when you give that doc to someone else. You have nothing to do.
Once your macro is edited, save it: menu File > Save, then save your document as usual. I did that without any problem.

Hi Jacqueline, unfortunately it doesn't work that way! Saving a document doesn't save the macro in the document.

I've figured out the solution on my own and after that I've found an explanation not so different from mine in chapter 17 of the "Getting Started" Guide (not yet translated in NeoOffice dialect) Wink .

Thanks so much for this link, Valter!!
The copy of "Getting Started" that I have only goes up through chapter 16.
I checked and the page I usually check for manuals does not include the Getting Started with Macros guide.

The section on macros in the guide has is markedly unhelpful for folks like me who have never worked with macros before.

I'll add the wiki to the Macros stub page in the wiki.
