In Calc, if I have Borders window open, and I select print, the dialog sheet of print will be opened from the window of Calc rather than the main Window. |

What main window do you mean?

For me right now the print sheet will pop out of whatever window is on top (e.g. the one that has hte active window focus border, the solid grey titlebar, not striped). E.g. if the borders floating window is active, the print sheet will come from the Borders window and not the calc document. Is that what you're seeing, or is that the issue you're trying to tell?
The printing functionality is the same regardless of whatever window associated with that particular document that it's attached to.

And it's been closed as "Not a bug". |

Oh I see so it is which ever window is on top.
This is a strange behavior and should be considered bug. Borders or Colors should be palletes instead of windows. |

Which is nice, but not something I would consider a priority in the next 20 years or so.. You print the document with which you were last working, regardless of where the print dialog comes from - the rest is polish.
best wishes,

This is a problem that's inherent in Apple's Java. Java can only create windows with the document class and borderless classes...it can't create standard Mac OS X "utility" window classes you're looking at. Apple's been putting in some hacks into Java 1.6 but it's unclear whether they'll be supported.
Until then we're SOL unless we want to start hacking the VM.
