The field "hyperlink" on the status bar is not associated (in the spanish version that I use) with a comment or an explanation telling you what's that. Or when I ask using the help menu "what's this"... no comment or explication.
I saw the english version of OpenOffice for PC windows (that I've download and install yesterday...) and comes this comment:
"Clicking this field on the Status Bar switches the hyperlinks from active (HYP) to edit (SEL) and back".
Maybe it would be add on the next "patch"? I suggest this text in spanish that comes in the "help text":
"Hacer clic en este campo de la barra de estado alterna los hipervÃnculos de texto del documento de activos (HYP) a modificables (SEL)".
Hoping that it can help,

What version of OpenOffice? If you downloaded yesterday, you are probably using OOo 2.0.4 and NeoOffice is using OOo 2.0.3 so you are probably comparing two different OOo releases.

Nope. We cannot "patch" an entire OOo release. Upgrading to a new OOo release is a couple months of full-time work.

I just checked the two versions of OOo X11.
That comment was missing in version 2.0.3. It has been added in OOo X11 2.0.4 too.

ah! Excuse me: I didn't know that, but now I understand better the "nature" of NeoO.
I will quit 2.0.4 and install 2.0.3 (because I will use it only for the neowiki in spanish...)
Thank you again for your patience with me, Patrick and Jacqueline

Which reminds me, AFAIK OOo 2.1 is being wrapped up. What are your thoughts on this?
Best wishes,

We can't patch to 2.1 either. Right now the AB3 release off of 2.0.3 is stable and havent seen any compelling need to change at this time. Depending on the timeframe of the 2.1 OOo release and the stability of the release we may target 2.1 for the Neo 2.x "final" release.
