Hey there ... before i get completely lost I throw some
questions in here to save myself to enrage irreversible.
::::: I have a presentation (Made with Windows Powerpoint)
it has been perfectly imported by Neo Office :
now i have just one problem : A small text over the image of the Video
says that i need quicktime cinepak and Decompressor ... i have
quicktime but there are just 2 components in it (codecs)
so i have 2 choices now :
1) I use VLC but where can I change the default settings so that Neo
Office opens Videos with VLC?
2) I use quicktime but where do i get it for macintosh? (i googled for
hours and i mean hours)
I know some stuff ... but in this case i´m clueless ....
Please help me!!! |

NeoOffice does not support QuickTime video playback at this time, and neither does the X11 OpenOffice.org. If you require video playback, you will need to continue using MS Office or another comprable presentation package such as Keynote.

Umm... Did you try Google with simply
+Quicktime +Macintosh
The top response takes you to Apple's download page.
(Of course, as Ed says, this won't actually sort out the specific issue but I just find it bizarre that anyone could spend hours - and you mean hours - googling Quicktime without finding Apple's free download page...)

Looking for it on Google is not even necessary : QuickTime is bundled with Mac OS X, and gets updated through Software Update !
But perhaps the OP was referring to a place where he could find the Cinepak codec, although it should be bundled with QuickTime - but he could've been mislead by the error message ... |
