|
I make various graphs for use on my personal web page. I prefer to save them as .jpeg files so that they can be viewed universally by all web browsers.
However, to make a Caculator chart/graph into a .jpeg, I typically just take a screen shot and then convert that file into a .jpeg.
Is there any feature that would allow me to directly export a chart/graph as a .jpeg file? I dislike using screen shots because I sometimes grab extraneous information along the edges and what not. |

The easiest way to do this would be to export the Calc spreadsheet to PDF (there is an icon on the main toolbar), and use an application such as Preview to save the PDF as JPEG. You could then use Preview to trim the JPEG and just keep the chart(s) you need. |

A better method is to copy the chart into a Draw document (make sure just the chart is selected) and choose "Export…" and export the chart to .jpg (or .tiff or whatever), no cropping needed
It's a bit annoying you can't just have the chart selected in Calc and export it from there, but that's OOo for you....
