Have you installed the latest patch?
If so and it still won't start, it is crashing and we need the crash log.

I have installed the latest patch, where can I find the crash log to submit it to you?

There is no Crash folder in the Library, here though is what I got out of the Console Program:
+ check_installation /Applications/NeoOffice.app
+ '[' -z /Applications/NeoOffice.app ']'
+ '[' '!' -f /Applications/NeoOffice.app/Contents/Info.plist ']'
+ grep pluby:guibomac.local. /Applications/NeoOffice.app/Contents/Info.plist
+ '[' 0 '!=' 0 ']'
+ '[' -f /Applications/NeoOffice.app/Contents/MacOS/bootstraprc ']'
++ grep '^ProductKey=' /Applications/NeoOffice.app/Contents/MacOS/bootstraprc
+ productkey=ProductKey=NeoOffice 2.0 Aqua Beta 3
++ grep '^ProductPatch=' /Applications/NeoOffice.app/Contents/MacOS/bootstraprc
+ productpatch=ProductPatch=Patch 0
+ '[' -z 'ProductKey=NeoOffice 2.0 Aqua Beta 3' -o -z 'ProductPatch=Patch 0' ']'
++ echo ProductKey=NeoOffice 2.0 Aqua Beta 3
++ awk -F= '{ print $2 }'
+ productkey=NeoOffice 2.0 Aqua Beta 3
++ echo ProductPatch=Patch 0
++ awk -F= '{ print $2 }'
++ sed 's#^Patch ##'
+ productpatch=0
+ '[' 'NeoOffice 2.0 Aqua Beta 3' = 'NeoOffice 2.0 Aqua Beta 3' ']'
+ '[' -z 0 ']'
+ '[' 0 -le 4 ']'
+ return 0
+ exit 0
Here is what happened when i did the java instructions:
charlie-georges-imac-g5:~/desktop charliegeorge$ javac test.java
test.java:1: 'class' or 'interface' expected
mport java.awt.*;
^
1 error
charlie-georges-imac-g5:~/desktop charliegeorge$ /system/library/frameworks/javavm.framework/versions/1.4.2/commands/java -classpath . test
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: test
charlie-georges-imac-g5:~/desktop charliegeorge$
Like I said there are no Crash Folders for some reason, or a crash log for neo.

Good you solved this! I have this same problem.
With Power PC, G4, 10.4 software version, I have still not got NeoOffice to start, even though I have the latest patch. I also installed a language pack. NeoOffice just bounces in the dock, and nothing happens.
The same happened with the OpenOffice program, it never started.
Thus, I try to get the software update, and let's see what happens! |

Actually, I downloaded the newest Java support or such, but it only did not help. |

Have you installed Patch 12? If no, download and install it.
Are you running the APE application enhancer? If so, try disabling it.

Have you tried our troubleshooting tips?
Also, which version of NeoOffice are you running (2.1 EA or 2.0 AB 3)? Are you running the latest patch for that version?

This may also help
Run Disk Utility and check the permissions to see if there are any problems and repair if any are found.
Also check the HD for errors this can lead to strange things like slowness apps not launch and many other oddities.
Also have you applied all the available updates for your system? |

Hallo Sardisson
Thanks for looking in my problem.
NeoOffice Version 2.0 AB 3
I have installed the latest patch and i had tried the troubleshooting.
After i installed the latest Java with the System-updatehows, the Terminal shows:
java version "1.4.2_09"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2_09-232)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.2-54, mixed mode)
Nothing in The Konsole about Java or Neooffice
The Check for a corrupt Java 1.4.2 installation i tried but could not manage to do. I am quite a beginner with the mac.
Maby i have to deinstall the iwork- demo at first ? |

Try doing this and lets know what happens
Goto Applications/Utilities/Java/J2SE 5.0
Double click Java Preferences
Under Java Runtime Settings
Make sure Java 5.0 is selected as the prefered Java app.
Then under Java Applications Runtime Settings
make sure J2SE 5.0 is above J2SE 1.4.2
Once they are like that click save and close out.
It is now a good idea to restart for this to take full effect.
Once restarted Neo Office should load correctly.
Lets know if that works or not and I will help further if needed.
