Non-trinity links (www.neooffice.fr and so forth) do point you to real Neo downloads. Bizarre.

Thanks for finding this. Ed and I will consider filing a UDRP with ICAAN for this.

We only have under our domain "aegis" .org, .net, and .com (which is a redirect that was purhcased from a Korean adparking site). Right now I (at least) don't have any terrible plans to go and buy up every single possible variant in every country in the world, but if they're redirecting to OOo (or us) instead of parking ads things are much better than I would have expected.

Patrick and I are on this and we will be filing appropriate requests with ICANN for these domains.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Even if not an ad parking site, if someone redirects something involving our trademark to a competitor it constitutes bad faith usage of a domain name involving a registered trademark.
As they have accused us of engaging in criminal activity, I think it's fair to say that OOo is a competitor.

Hardly. But they would probably like to be a competitor . _________________ "What do you think of Western Civilization?"

Regardless, trademark law requires us to pursue every means we can to defend usage of our trademark within the US and affiliated countries. Whether this means our lawyers file a cease and desist in those jurisdictions or whether it means we need to pursue this through ICANN channels, we shall.
The NeoOffice trademark stands for the integrity, stability, and service Patrick, myself, and the NeoOffice community have provided for hundreds of thousands of people worldwide.
It is an injustice to see others try to drag our name into the dirt and I am glad to be able to ensure NeoOffice will always stand for the principles I hold dear.
