I am using NeoOffice Calc to create columns of data. I would like to be able to display this data on a graph. I have 2 variables, which I would like to display as points on an xy axis graph. I would like to
1) chose which column is the x axis values, and which is the y values.
2) have several (e.g. 5) such plots displayed on one graph
3) have the points joined up with a line (e.g. 5 lines), each line being a different colour (e.g. 5 colours).
How can I do this? I don't know whether this is a task for NeoOffice or another program. I am using Mac. Any help for any program is very welcome! I have "Plot" and I just cannot understand how to do this. On paper this is extremely simple! (But takes too long as I have too much data).

Welcome to NeoOffice!
Have you tried selecting your column of data and then choosing Insert>Chart?
There are lots of options for chart types there; you could try playing around with the various options.
You might also take a look at the linear regression article in the wiki. It is probably overkill for what you want, but it appears to be the only artile on Charts in the wiki at the moment.
There are several folks here who work a lot more with charts than I do, so you may get some better answers from them!
