Hello,

In excel I use a lot of financial spreadsheets. Importing them in Neo office results in deviations in the outlining of numbers.
In excel the euro format comes first. Then, no mather the amount(100's 1000's etc), the numbers are outlined with the euro mark left, right under each other and the same goes for the last number. So a nice column shows up left and right outlined.
Neooffice doesn't seems to have such a format. And I can't figure out how to userdefine such a format. It all results in outlined right or left.

Please what to do, for I like to work with neooffice. And this way Excel prevalate

Lane

Select the column you want to format.

Go to Format > Cells… >Numbers > Currency

In the Format area, choose your language and click on the format you wish. You can enter a custom format in the Format code field.

Click OK

Hope that helps

I understand what you're trying to do - something like:
Code:
€  1.001,23
€    101,23
€     10,23

but so far I haven't found a way to do this in OOo/Neo format - there is a workaround I can suggest if you just want the columns looking neat and can put up with it being upside-down, which is to use for example:
Code:
#.##0,00_M€

as your number format, which will result in:
Code:
1.001,23  €
  101,23  €
   10,23  €

If I find a way to make the currency character justify independently of the amount and still be on the left, I'll let you know.

Note that if your locale is using , as thousand separator and . as decimal separator, you should enter instead :

Code:
#,##0.00_M€

That's exactly my point. I am to much of a novice to figure it out myself. I will wait patiently till you (or someone else) will find a work around.
