Hi,

Recent convert to NeoOffice 2.2.2 and loving it.
One issue came up, when I use the italic shorcut (cmd+I) when starting a sentence, it italicise the last word of the precedent sentence.
Like this. You see.

I did got rid of all font doubled in the font book (except Helvetica, I would have to deactivate it).

I know it's not a major issue, but it's the only glitch that get in my way.

I run 2.2.2 on OS 10.5.1. Thanks.

1) You should install the last Patch which available here:
http://www.neooffice.org/neojava/en/patch.php

2) Try to move your Preferences folder on the Desktop as described in this page in NeoWiki. Then relaunch NeoOffice. Feel free to post again if your problem is not solved.

All seems fine now.

Il semble que je n'avais pas perçu les subtilités des patchs, étant sur 2.2.2, je crois être déjà sous le patch 2. L'art de se sentir jeune et naïf!

merci des conseils et de cette réponse rapide.

Glad I helped.

If you go to the NeoOffice > Preferences > NeoOffice menu you see a section called "Online Update", in which you can choose the option you wish. "Check for updates automatically" and "Every Week" seems a god option (for me).

If you want to receive an announcement whenever a patch or new release is available, you can subscribe to the NeoJUpdate mailing list by sending an e-mail to neojupdate-subscribe at heapsys dot com.

Thanks for the French message Very Happy

Me again...

the problem came back. I was not able to locate the preference files in OS 15.5.1. Everything works perfectly, except for this italic issue wich I hope to solve quickly.

Thanks in advance.

The location of the Preferences folder is the same in 10.5.1 as in Tiger.
~/Library > Preferences > Neooffice-2.2
where ~ refers to your home folder.

Do you notice that issue in all your documents, or only in one document?

Be aware that some fonts have no italic variant. See this article in NeoWiki.

For more info about fonts problems you may have a look at this other page in the wiki.
