Hi all,

Just wondering if it is possible to change the sort order of a database report that I have generated? I used the wizard to set up the report - and have customized its appearance quite a lot - now I want to edit the sort order, but am not sure how.

Any ideas?

Cheers,
Kim

If your report is based on a Query, try changing the sort order in the Query.

If it is based on a table, I don't know how/if it can be changed. We're rather short on Base experts here at trinity, so you might need to ask at one of the OpenOffice.org forums. I reccommend the OpeOffice.org Community Forums. Be sure to specify that you are using NeoOffice 2.2.2, based on OOo 2.2.1 and you are using the built in Report wizard. (There's a report extension available for newer versions of OpenOffice.org).

Sorry not to be of more help.

Lorinda

Thanks for the quick reply Lorinda. I have posted the question on the OO forums - so hopefully someone there who knows a bit about Base might have a solution.

For anyone wanting to follow the replies - the post is here: http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=1508

Thanks Smile

I'm glad to see you got a quick answer at the OOo Community forum.

You are still welcome to ask Base questions here, by the way. Some of them I can answer.

Thanks so much for providing the link to your post in the other forum. That helps both those of us who answer questions here and those who search our forums for answers.
