Auto pasting from clipboard.

Sorry if this has been raised before, though "search" did not show anything had.

I am using 2.2.2 patch 8 on a G5 PowerPC OS 10.4.11.

I had downloaded a .doc from the internet http://www.willis-renewables.com/pdf/UU-solar-syphon-report.doc, and opened using NeoOffice. As I tried to scroll down using the mouse on the scroll buttons, I kept getting the first entry off the clipboard (CopyPaste 2.7.5) pasted into the document.

I have tried restarting NeoOffice but the same thing happens.

Any thoughts?

You might try this way:

go to the NeoOffice > Preferences menu. Then select NeoOffice > View and in the Middle mouse button drop-down, in the Mouse section, change Paste clipboard (it's the default option) to Automatic scrolling.

I don't remember seeing this as a bug previously, but it would do no harm to update your copy of NeoOffice to Patch 11.

Thank you for your help. I downloaded patch 11 just after I posted the query, but the result was still the same. However, dealing with the mouse preferences has sorted it. I only have two buttons, but something was telling it to paste.
