I've adapted K-9's text for the wiki. It's available here.

Thanks much to K-9 for putting it together.

Unfortunately, I can't get it to work on my iBook running 10.4.11. I first thought it was related to an apparent corruption in the uno_packages folder in my preferences, but I've tried it in a different user account and while I get further, I still can't access it from the Tools>Macros>Run Macro menu.

In the clean account, at step 5 of "Installing the Extension" I don't see anything under Paginator when I click on the disclosure triangle. I'm guessing this is related.

I'm not overly concerned about this personally. I can manage without the extension. But I'm worried others may run into the same problem. Not sure how to track it down....

Aha! K-9 asked me in an e-mail about why I changed the method for unzipping the oxt file. I assumed Patrick used "my" method. But I just tried K-9's approach and in my "clean" account it works where as my method did not.

So I'll go back and change the wiki article.

try removing it completely and follow my steps and do not rename stuff - unzip and zip as stated and install the complete zipped package with the NEW adapted description.xml file or whatever it is.

I sent you an email of my extensions manager showing you the zipped file and also subfiles under it too.

I just did as Patrick stated. I am on 10.4.11 on my 12"powerbook ppc and the older core duo macbook pro 15.2/4" whatever size it really is. I have no leopard in the house or office either. I am staying with Tiger for now.

there is an install bar that happens too that you should see. Lasts a few seconds.

Glad you got it working! I was so frustrated too - esp. not knowing very much. and getting a bit of contradictory info between people. I just re-did what Patrick said and it worked!

Yep, if I use your method, it works just fine. Thanks for the clarification!
