When I change the name of the installer file of neooffice (the PKG file) and I install it, the add-ons don't appear in the aplication.

I don't understand, because if so it's want to say that I don't have to change the name of the installer package (pkg file), if I want that the add-ons appear when the application runs.

Can you explain me why it happens?

Why would you change the name of the .pkg file? That probably breaks some in the Mac OS X installer tool that we use to install NeoOffice.

One more question: I do not understand how you are able to change the name of the .pkg file. The .pkg file is in a read-only .dmg file so its name should not changeable.

I can change the name of the pkg file because i copy it from the disk image to the desktop and from there I install neooffice.

It's want to say that I don't have to change the file name if I want the add'ons appear?

I cannot reproduce this. I opened the NeoOffice 2.2.5 .dmg file, dragged the .pkg file to my desktop, renamed it Blah.pkg, and ran it. After installation, the Add-ons were all there.

Maybe the .pkg file got corrupted during copying? It seems unnecessary to copy the .pkg file as copying only makes a duplicate copy of the data already in the .dmg file so I would definitely recommend that you skip copying as it appears to be a risky thing to do and brings no gains.

I have a question. When you chagned the name of the .pkg file, did you put any spaces in the new name?

I found the bug. If you name of the .pkg file or the names any of the folders that the .pkg file is in have spaces, it will break the script that installs the add-ons.

I have fixed the bug and I will include the fix in the NeoOffice 3.0 Early Access installer when it is released.

What I am saying is that you have found a bug in the NeoOffice 2.2.5 installer. So, to get the add-ons back. Do *not* copy or rename the .pkg file. Open the .dmg file and run the .pkg file in the .dmg file. That will restore the add-ons.

I forgot to say one more thing: if reinstalling NeoOffice 2.2.5 from the .dmg file does not restore the add-ons, try the following:

1. Quit NeoOffice
2. Go to the Finder, Control-click on the NeoOffice icon, and select Show Package Contents from the popup menu that appears
3. Step 2 will cause the Finder to show a Contents folder, go into that folder and find a "share" subfolder. Go into the "share" subfolder and find a "uno_packages" subfolder.
4. Drag the "uno_packages" subfolder to the Trash and resintall NeoOffice 2.2.5 from the the .dmg file.

Well, thanks to help me patrick, and I copy and name the pkg file because I create my own custom neooffice disk image. Well, thanks to explain me that.
Esperaré con mas ansias la llegada de neooffice 3.0 en enero. Very Happy

After you move the "uno_packages" subfolder to the Trash and reinstall NeoOffice 2.2.5. Can you run NeoOffice and verify that the add-ons appear?

If they appear, you can test my fix by installing the following test patch. This test patch contains the Spanish translations for the translations and my fix for the .pkg name bug that you found. If my fix works, you can rename the .pkg in the test patch's .dmg file and when you lauch NeoOffice, the add-ons will show your Spanish translations:
