Someone had mentioned a way to nudge photos, I think, down from the top of the page, where they hang over the top edge of the page.

Can this be done?

Usually for photos I always embed them in borderless tables and then turn "Wrap" to "None" (right click the picture, or use the wrap toolbar buttons). With that they tend to flow with the text and not get cut off. I also use the tables to provide captions for the images. Not sure if that gets you the behaviour you desire.
