This works fine for me on 10.6 intel.
The patch install was a bit wonky though. I happened to have a Console open when it was installing, and it looks like the patch script tried to go through every application in my /Applications folder looking for an soffice.bin to patch. I can e-mail you the log if it is helpful. |

That is what the patch installer has done for several years now. Many Mac users move software from its original install location so after many complaints that the patch installer couldn't find their NeoOffice installation in the early days of the NeoOffice project, we added search of the /Applications folder for NeoOffice installations.

Gotcha. Then I'd say the test works smashingly for me. :) |

Works swimmingly here with Neo3 on 10.5.7/Intel, too. "-base" also works for "starting" Base, such as it is
I think I'm going to try life with "-nodefault" for a while, since I have keyboard shortcuts set up for the modules (via the NeoOffice menu)

Does this need to get an entry in the wiki now? |

Yeah, we should add a section at the top of that page "Starting in NeoOffice 3.0 Patch-N and NeoOffice 2.2.5 Patch-X..." and explain the various options.
Eventually we'll want to clean up that page (and rename it); the Stub Applications are obsolete, and the CFBundleExecutable has been directly replaced here, but Jakes's templates in your Dock and fabrizio's macro are still useful for other situations. Hopefully someone will ultimately make a new set of pseudo-apps for the modules based on the new launch technology, too.

And it will be NeoOffice 3.0 Patch 6 and NeoOffice 2.2.5 Patch 14. I have started a NeoWiki article for the new patches which are due to be released soon.
