dear neooffice forum,

neooffice repeatedly fails to launch. this behaviour started some time ago. I guess it all started with version3. This morning I decied to remove all Library/Preferences/Neooff* folders and org.neoofice*.plist files of all users and did a fresh install of version 3 + patched to level 5. Neooffice did start wel I modified some files, exported to pdf and to doc. Now this afternoon: again the program fails to start: I tried to open a doc file from the Desktop: no luck, I tried to launch the app itself: no result... Can you help please?
The machine is fully patched, and I am running java version 1.5

I'll include the latest crash log

Have a nice day alltogether,
micca

Thank you for the crash log. From your crash log, it appears that the crash is occurring in NeoOffice's underlying OpenOffice.org code. Since that code is trying to load its shared preference files, I suspect that one or more of the files in your installation are corrupted.

I see that you reinstalled NeoOffice and deleted the preference files, but can you try dragging NeoOffice to the Trash and then performing a clean install of NeoOffice 3.0 and Patch 5?

By moving the existing installation to the Trash, any stray NeoOffice 2.2.5 files that were preserved when you upgraded to NeoOffice 3.0 will be removed.
