kill superscript

In NeoOff .odt, for something I did, my machine has suddenly decided to treat tab for a new para (i.e. indent) in text already written as a command to set that line as superscript. There is nothing that I can see in Autocorrect that will allow you to enter this bug as an item for correction. My only way out was to copy my whole text into a new doc. How could I have corrected this odd behaviour from inside the old doc?
