Compared to VBA, Basic (which I'm new to) appears to have a lot of text that is even less intuitive.

1. Are there any Get Started guides out there?

2. Are there different 'Views', ie. where only 'active' text is visible? I ask because Basic appears to use a full page for what would take 2 lines in VBA. I'd need an Encyclopedia for some macros!

Thanks,
Stephen

There is the OpenOffice.org BASIC Programming Guide. Does this do what you want?

Yep, that would be a good start.
